Though I’ve been a percussion player/enthusiast for a number of years, I’d never heard of a hang drum until I got clued in at Crushing Krisis last week. Hang is like a hybrid of a steel drum, gamelan, and an udu. Here’s a video of some hang playing. It’s a pretty sweet instrument and it’s too bad that the only manufacturer is on hiatus right now. Can’t find the thing anywhere.

check out http://www.pantheonsteel.com – they’re about to come out with their own version of a Hang.
As also Pantheon Steel has a waiting list with 2000 persons, there is currently no possibility for an immediate satisfaction of the yearning for a hang or a hang like instrument (and nobody of us currently know whether the Halo from Pantheon will be a comparable instrument because no one has ever heard one).So patience is needed in any case.And information on how to achieve a PANArt hang (and what you can do now) is only a few clicks from here. ;-)
